Ada and Grace: Virtual Humans at the Museum
Around 2010, well before the release of Siri or the idea of interacting with a computer was commonplace, we placed two virtual humans, Ada and Grace at the Boston Museum of Science. The characters interacted with visitors in natural language, and could answer visitors' questions about things to do at the museum, technology, and even how they worked. We estimate that the exhibit was seen by over 250,000 musuem visitors.
